Autocar Company is a car construction company and light utilities that gradually specialized in the construction of trucks. The company was bought by White Motor in 1953. The company is currently part of the Conglomerate Grand Veho Works Holdings.
In 1958, the A7564T model appeared. With cummin and caterpillar diesel engines, 6 cylinders, 11 and 12 liters, and power from 195 to 335 horsepower. With manual transmission boxes Fuller at five and ten reports. On 6x4 tractors, and a 16 -ton payload.
In 1978, new models appeared, such as Constructor 2, with a Road Boss cabin, a 435 horsepower engine and 34 tonnes of payload. This truck was made until 1985.
In 1981, White was bought by Volvo, so coach continued to be produced by the new owner. And another truck the AT64F was launched, and intended for long distances.
In 1987, a new range of trucks, designed for the building industry, were inaugurated and offered in a version of: 4x2, 4x4, 6x4, 6x6 and 8x4.
In 2001, Volvo Trucks took control of Renault Trucks and by the very fact of Mack Trucks. But the company was forced by the American justice to give a coach to a new company: large vehicle works holdings, and production had to be transferred to another factory located in Hagerstown, in Indiana, thereafter the company specialized in Building trucks with lowered cabins, for urban deliveries and municipal services.
