The problem of the carrying capacity of career dump trucks is as acute as 50 years ago. There are two solutions-either make even more powerful dump trucks (like BelAZ-75710), or build modular trains, as the Slovenian company ETF Trucks proposes.
Immediately we note that at the moment there is only one experimental copy of ETF and a new concept so far exists mainly in computer sketches. But the idea, despite its complexity, is clearly realized, plus ETF has big plans and a rather big range of solutions, so sooner or later such cars will enter the market.
The main module is an ETF Mining Truck with 5 leading axes. And not only leading, but also managed. The modularity lies in the fact that during the time not exceeding 15 minutes, you can dismantle the block cabin from the truck, turning it into a trailer, or shorten the base, “unfastening” several block-oxes. In other words, the whole truck is a designer.
It is understood that from a standard set of block-liners, block-wings, block-kabin, you can collect at least 6 different modifications: two axes with a load capacity of 180 tons, three axes for 284 tons, four axes for 380 tons, five axes for 484 T, six axes for 570 tons and 8 axes for 774 tons! Moreover, the last two configurations will be record among career trucks, leaving even BelAZ behind.
At the same time, the truck is 180 tons and a 774 ton truck will have a typical height and width, that is, they will be able to move along the same roads.
Wheels and tires for trucks are non -standard and also developed ETF. They are designed for overloads that cannot withstand typical wheels for career dump trucks. On the other hand, “multi -sewing” allows you to correctly distribute the loads.
Trucks of any configurations can be combined into the so -called ETF Haul Train - a road train capable of transporting from 568 to 6192 (!) Tons of cargo. Each block retains its own engine, but control goes from the head truck.
