Landini background information
Landini is a firm of agricultural equipment and steam machines founded in 1884. By Giovanni Landini.
In 1982, Landini offered the first specific tractor for Vergers. Landini will be a global market leader in this type of equipment with more than 35 % of market share.
In 1986, Massey Fergusson distributed under his label Landini products on the world market, outside Europe.
In 1988, the company introduced the 80 series on the market, from 6880 from 65hp to 9880 of 95hp. Meanwhile, two other tractors have arrived, the 10000 and the 13000 replacing the 12500.
In 1989, Massey Ferguson sold 66 % of his actions. Landini resumed his independence and restores a subsidiary in France in 1991.
In February 1994, Landini was taken over by the Morra group, which became Argo. Landini presents the legend range, from 105 to 145hp.
In January 1995, Landini bought the Italian Valpadana, specialist in small agricultural machinery.
In 2000, the whole range is renewed, the mythos, Gibli, Globus and Atlas replace the 80s. Today Landini is the 3rd Italian manufacturer of the specialty.
In September 2017, Argo Tractors Spa created a joint venture with the Turkish group Anadolu Grupu which since 2012 provides the distribution in Turkey of agricultural tractors Landini, Anadolu Landini for the under -licensed manufacturing of a part of the Landini range.
