Manitou Forklifts and Telehandlers
Manitou is a recognized world leader in loaders for work outside the premises and all-terrain models - all-terrain vehicles forklifts, telehandlers. To date, the company produces more than 300 models of loading and lifting equipment, including exclusive models that have no analogues in the world.
The history of Manitou began in 1958, it was then the founder of the Manitou Marseille Broke concern, used a rather extraordinary engineering and technical solution for that time, connecting a lifting mast to the agricultural tractor, he created the first mast loader Manitou increased cross-country ability.
The Manitou Group of Companies, created in Ansen in the west of France and led since 1998, Marseille-Claude Bro (the son of the founder), has an income of 985 million euros (data for 2005). Today, the head office of Manitou is in Ansen, in the west of France. From 1998 to 2009 The company was led by the son of the founder of Marcel Claude Braud. In 2009, Jean-Christophe Giroux became the main manager.
Manitou occupies a leading position in the world market due to the extensive range of the lineup of its own performance. The model range of machines is constantly updated, new technologies and additions are made. This is evidenced by the fact that about 2/3 of all models have been developed no more than 3 years ago by Manitou has been producing telescopic loaders since 1981 and today is an unconditional leader who has advanced technologies and great experience in their design. The company is one of the five world leaders in terms of production. The annual turnover is over 1 billion euros. More than 200,000 cars are used daily around the world.
