Changan, a Chinese automobile manufacturer, produces passenger vehicles under the sub-brand name Tiger Truck. It is classified as a member of the class of vehicles called variously as "Mini trucks," "Micro trucks," "K trucks," and "KEI trucks." The term "passenger vehicle" (Kei Yidosha) is shortened to "K" in Japanese. Kei Yidosha is the name of a specific class of automobiles in Japan that are exempt from certain taxes. This kind of motor vehicle is limited to a maximum speed of 25 miles per hour and is thus categorised as a low-speed automobile in the United States of America. This classification is based on the definition found in CFR 49-571.500. Because of this, it is only permitted on roads that are not part of a highway or a municipal road network.
The Tiger Truck is renowned not just for its diminutive size but also for its dependability even in challenging environments and its refined driving experience. The Tiger Truck company logo is an homage to the Star Hike company emblem, and it was created to emphasise the forward-thinking design and functions of the freight vehicle. Tiger Truck has versions that run on gasoline, E85, and electricity. There is a wide selection to choose from, including minibuses, crew cabs, and trucks. Tiger Truck is well-known in the industry for having stringent quality control requirements, one of which is its proprietary tiger-resistant test. The deal also includes a set of accessories, which may include things like a snow cleaner, a coupling hook, a front brush guard, a safety light, a hot dog burner, and other such items.
The Tiger Star model is a contemporary off-road truck that is more robust than the majority of the other off-road vehicles in its category. Trucks of the more advanced Star-class feature a reliable electric drive that is powered by a 48-volt, 5-kW engine that is attached to a five-speed gearbox. All Tiger Trucks have received certification from the California Air Resources Council. The initial design was based on Suzuki each / Suzuki Carry-based Changa star Kei vans and Kei trucks, which were made possible by the Chanan Suzuki Joint Undertaking in China.
The Tiger is the truck body that offers the most width for use in specialised applications. The majority of distribution in the United States takes place through a predetermined distribution network. The Tiger Truck brand is better able to supply the demand for these vehicles in North America since it is mounted in Poteau, Oklahoma, which is located in the state of Oklahoma.
